Ethel Austin to shut more stores

Ethel Austin and Au Naturale stores will close another 81 stores in the next month, according to administrators MCR.

This together with a further 56 cuts to head office staff in Knowsley, Merseyside will mean the loss of almost 750 jobs.

Last month 124 shopes were closed on top of an earlier wave of 129 closures.

The latest cuts bring the total job losses to about 2,250 since the administrators were appointed on February 8.

Around 81 shops will remain open and MCR said it was still trying to find a buyer.
