Pumpkin Patch enters administration

Children’s clothes retailer Pumpkin Patch has entered administration, as cash-strapped shoppers cut back on their spending.
It has appointed Deloitte as administrator and revealed that five stores have closed, resulting in the loss of 60 jobs.
Deloitte, however, said that the rest of its outlets would continue to trade while it considers its options.
Pumpkin Patch has 36 stores in the UK and employs around 400 staff.
The group’s international operations, which are in New Zealand, and its online business are not affected by the administration.
